I haven't had much luck in the past couple months regarding acne scar removal techniques and that is why I haven't posted. It is quite difficult to find something that works well enough to recommend! All of this is very frustrating for those of us who have been dealing with the horror of trying to remove acne scars for many years. This acne scar removal is like an endless battle that goes nowhere. I'm sure you can relate.
However, I recently did some microdermabrasion treatments for my ice pick scars and it helped quite a bit to even out the texture of my skin in those scarred areas. It took a few treatments (about 6) to see the "acne scars" fade a bit and my skin to smooth out, but I did see improvement. It's definitely not as much improvement as I'd ideally like to see (since I'd like to totally remove acne scars from my entire face!), but it's better than nothing. At least the appearance of my acne scars has improved - even if it's only 10% or so.
I'd say give this one a try if you have really mild or shallow acne scars - ice pick acne scars, boxcar acne scars, or rolling acne scars. It's worth a shot. Don't expect drastic improvement in your acne scars - especially if you have a lot of rolling scars. Also, I suspect that if you are younger (less than 30 years old) you should get slightly better results with acne scar removal than someone who is older simply due to the increased collagen and the better ability of your skin to renew itself.
I'll come back next time with my review of another acne scar treatment. Until then - good luck with your acne scar removal efforts and most importantly, hang in there!
